The dried and either whole or ground fruit of the "native peach" - Santalum acuminatum.

When dried, the tart flesh becomes tangy and fruity, with a decided dried apricot flavour.

Use dried Quandong:

  • halves in jams, chutneys, and sauces
  • pieces in cakes, muffins, or icecream
  • powder in sweet dishes such as biscuits or meringues
  • powder in savoury dishes such as rubs for meat or veggies, or in sauces

Quandong adds the tangy, fruity flavour to our Spicy Fruit Sprinkle.
