Peppersalt puff

Squares of a yellow layered pastry are covered on the top with speckled black and white bits. This is puff pastry with an infused salt on top.
An incredibly quick and easy way to create savoury mouthfuls. Eat on their own, serve with a cheese platter, or use as the base for finger food toppings.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry Buy this premade; generally found in the freezer section of your supermarket or grocery store.
  • Olive oil

Flavoured salts, or any herb

Instructions

  • Roll out puff pastry.
  • Brush with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle generously with Native Peppersalt, or whatever herb/spices you're using.
  • Cut into shapes, strips, whatever shapes you want. This needs to be done BEFORE cooking.
  • Bake at high temperature for 20mins, until puffy and golden.
  • Serve hot or cold.

Notes

Tip - cut into long strips and give them a couple of twists before cooking.
